Standard Configuration

What every BULANEN cabinet includes as standard

Ten construction standards written into the base specification of every whole-house order — carcass engineering, edgebanding, hardware and detailing. Not upgrades. Not options. Standard.

The base specification

Specification you would normally pay to add

Most cabinetry quotations look comparable on the surface and diverge entirely in the detail — the edgeband grade, the hinge, the runner, whether the base can ever be opened again. BULANEN publishes its base build so buyers can compare like for like.

Everything on this page is included in the standard price of a BULANEN order for residential and contract programmes alike.

Construction method

Independent units versus shared-frame carcasses

Independent unit carcass construction with individual side panels
BULANEN standard

Unit carcass

  • Each box carries its own side panels and shelves — nothing is shared
  • Load spreads evenly, so panels resist sagging and deformation
  • Around 20% more panel material, measurably higher load capacity
  • A single unit can be swapped out without refitting the whole run
Edgebanding

Three grades of edge. We specify the two best ones.

PUR edgebanding — carcass standard
Standard on every carcass

PUR edgebanding — carcass standard

  • Minimal adhesive volume
  • Fine, discreet glue line
  • Moisture-resistant, permanent bond
  • Higher unit cost — absorbed by us

Independent unit carcasses
Item 01

Independent unit carcasses

Each cabinet is built as a fully independent unit with its own side panels and shelves. Nothing is shared between neighbouring boxes, so load is distributed evenly and panels do not sag or deform under long-term weight.

  • Roughly 20% more panel material than frame construction
  • Even load distribution across every side panel
  • A single damaged unit can be replaced without stripping out the run
  • Extends the service life of the installation as a whole
